About

I’m a Latinx entrepreneur and creative advocate for immigrants rights, LGBTQ+ visibility and gender equality. My mom says I became an author at age 4 when I “wrote” a tale about the friendship between a man and a snake. The work was heavily influenced by “The little Prince” but according to her, it was my big break as a storyteller. My dad on the other hand, will tell you that I discovered my true passion when I launched my first business endeavour in second grade: an off-brand BARBIE clothing line. Ever since, I’ve pivoted between Screenwriting and Costume Design. I wrote and sold my first screenplay “Nena Saludame al Diego” before I finished film school. It was a queer female-driven comedy for millennials about family values and self-determination. We were thrilled to be official selection at Málaga International Film festival, Cine Las Americas, San Diego Film Festival, Havana International Film Festival and Miami Women International Film Festival. Yes, Maradona did not like the teaser and he threatened to sue me over a drug-related joke but thanks to that we became a cult movie that you now have to deep search online. I have co-written/consulted Short films, Features and TV Documentaries; I am also known for my Costume Design work in Movies, TV shows and Music Videos for incredibly talented artists like Pitipol Ybarra (HBO Capadocia, Netflix´s Ingobernable), Hari Sama (This is not Berlin), Fina Torres (Cannes Camera D’Or winner) and Latin Grammy Nominated bands Rawayana, Famasloop and La Vida Boheme. My greatest asset is the ability to find resources, connect people and make things happen -which has led to some Producer credits and a couple of Retail Enterprises-. For the past 2 years I worked as Content Producer/Stylist for body-positive brands in the US. This allowed me to better understand the importance of increasing the reach of female voices in all areas of content production. So, along with my wife -director Marianne Amelinckx– I’ve launched “The Ladies Room Agency”, a small production boutique focused on advocating for diversity, inclusion and female empowerment through entertainment and corporate content.
